Obituary
William J. Fesko was born and raised in the Bronx. Son of Carmela (Connie) and Jack Antonini. Bill was a highly decorated Viet Nam Veteran who served in the 101st 82nd Airborne division as a Helicopter gunner. Bill had a 20 year career at Montefiore Medical Center as a Supervising Security Officer. He was also recognized and honored for evacuating patients and visitors during a fire that quickly spread. Bill also worked as an electrician and light technician at the famous Empire Room of the Waldorf Astoria. During his time as a lighting technician he supervised the shows of many famous performers; including Tony Bennett,Frank Sinatra and Diana Ross. He was known for his creative light shows and was often called upon by performers to pursue a singing career since his voice was often heard singing in the balconies of the hotel. His love of music and song was interrupted by the Viet Nam War but he never stopped singing. He left behind a legacy of song and laughter. He leaves behind his sister Diane,his stepdaughter Jennifer and common law wife Rosemarie whom he lived with and loved for all of his life. He will be remembered for his patriotism and service to his country and his love of life. He was often heard saying "the one great thing I'm most proud of in my life is having served my country."
