Anna Donnarumma,99, died peacefully on January 4th , 2020.Born on July 30th, 1920, the 4th of 6 sisters and 5 brothers, she is predeceased by Giudetta and Luigi Mercante, her parents and her husband of 54 years, Joseph Donnarumma, who died at the age of 87 in 2002. She is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife Terry: her daughter, Patricia Ann and her husband, Lenny : Her son Joseph and his wife, Joy. Anna was bless with grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren- Carla and her husband, John and sons Frank & Andrew- Sharon- Cheryl-- Steven and his fiancée, Marisa: Jeanette and her husband, Jimmy and Baby Boy on his way- Justin and his Wife, Alexandria and daughter, Antonia. "Annie" is also survived by her sister, Judy, who resides in Bradenton, Fl. and loving nephews & nieces who kept in touch via visits and phone calls making "Aunt Anna" know that she was special to them. Anna enjoyed dancing: she met Joe at Ratskeller in 1947 and they became a dancing pair at all events. She was a woman of faith and instilled her love of the lord to her family( in her early years Anna thought she might become "Sister Patricia Ann" but the lord had other plans for her...) Her love of cooking and family gatherings was best celebrated on Christmas Eve! Year after year it was the pace for family, friends, fish and of course her eggplant parmigiana - the substance of loving memories. In the summertime going to Coney Island (the BEACH!!) with her children, their friends, and meeting more family was a bi-weekly event and oh the nights we watched the Fireworks! It also meant shouting Let's Go Mets!- Anna was an avid fan ( remember the thermos filled with a "special" liquor drink at the baseball games ) so please make your next "Salute" in her honor. Anna enjoyed playing card and after her partner, Joe was gone she continued this past-time with her friends at home or with "seniors" at St. Dominick. Her biggest enjoyment was a trip to Atlantic City especially when she'd win! - a frequent occurrence much to the delight of her grandkids who also "won". Speaking of chances, Annie loved scratch off lottery tickets, a favorite gift to give her!! The day before her final journey she watched with anticipation as Tom scratched off a lottery ticket from her 100th Christmas stash! A long lived blessed life!!!
