Betty Stevens was born in Brooklyn, New York to Ida and Harry Gurlnick on March 21, 1925. She married William Stevens on May 20, 1950. She was a devoted mother and wife. She worked in retail and for the public schools as a bus driver. Her husband was an engineer and Veteran of the Army.
