Obituary
Robert P. Grovijahn, 87, was called home to join Mary, his wife of 63 years, on July 20. Born to George and Mary (Marbach) Grovijahn on August 5, 1929 in Yankton, SD, he was the oldest of five children. He married Mary Beeson in 1950, just before leaving to serve in the army in Korea. A long-time Billings resident, Bob was a man of deep faith, serving as an usher at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church for many years. Bob loved spending time with his family, hunting, shooting trap, playing keno with friends, and playing cards, especially pinochle. He is survived by his three children, Jeff Grovijahn, Jean Bushman (Don), Jane Grovijahn (Tricia Boucher), two grandchildren, Nicole Grovijahn and Matthew Grovijahn, sister Dolores Donovan, and sisters-in-law Helen Barton, Donna Grovijahn, Agnes Grovijahn and Dee Grovijahn. Special thanks to those who came to see him during these past few weeks of his life. He treasured his friendships with you. Rosary and funeral services will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Friday, August 11th at 11:00am.
After the service we invite you to share a simple meal with us at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Riverstone Foundation at 123 South 27th St., Billings, MT 59101. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting smithfuneralchapels.com
