Kent Seibold Obituary

Kent A. Seibold, passed into peace on July 20, 2017. Kent was born on June 7, 1962 in Boulder Colorado to Steve and Sophie Seibold. He attended Niwot High School, graduating from Columbine High School. Starting at a very young age, Kent had an uphill battle to climb in life. He climbed each step the best he possibly could. Growing up, a little sister could not ask for a better and more protective big brother than Kent. Kent was self taught, very intelligent and ingenious and had the ability to think outside the box. He had a profound natural ability to understand subjects which he had never studied. With these characters, along with being good with his hands, Kent had a wide range of vocations throughout his life. Colorado is where Kent called home, though at different times in his life, Kent also lived in Montana, Minnesota, Wyoming and France. He also enjoyed traveling, but always made his way back home. Kent’s French roots, where his Mom was born and raised, meant a lot to him. He named his truest best friend, his dog, Maniek, after his eldest French uncle. Kent and Maniek were inseparable. To the point that Maniek would climb a ladder onto the roof of the house after Kent. Soon learning to climb it himself, then jump and fly into Kent’s arms as he waited for him on the ground. The love and trust in their bond was beyond unique and special. To his great nephew and nieces, when they had the opportunity to spend time together, Kent was simply funny. Kent enjoyed listening to NPR on the radio. Kent is preceded in death by his father, stepdad Mike Donahue, beloved grandma Barbara Seibold, paternal grandfather, maternal grandparents, two uncles and two aunts in France. He is survived by his mom Sophie (Seibold) Pangburn, sister Diane McDaniel, brother in law Lloyd McDaniel, niece Janet (Michael) McDaniel-Possehl, nephew Troy (Tarri) McDaniel, great nephew Trevor McDaniel and great nieces Tiana McDaniel and Ally Brunner. Kent is further survived by his uncle Maniek Dziebowski in France, and his French family, uncle Jim Seibold, Jon and Carol Seibold, Diane Seibold, Dianna Seibold and many cousins and friends. Kent will be greatly missed by many. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday August 1 at 2:00PM at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder, Co. Kent was casual, so we ask that if you can attend, please feel free to be casual, and come with memories and stories of Kent which you might want to share.
