It is with immense sadness that the family of Richard James Kelley Jr., 61, of Daytona Beach, FL announces his sudden passing. Rich was called home to his eternal life on Sept. 12, 2020. He is survived by his adoring wife, Toniann; beloved sons Richard James Kelley, the 3rd, and Tyler Patrick Kelley; sisters and brothers and their children, Eileen and Walter, Brian. Kathryn and Emily Hepp, Tim and Rosemary, Maggie and Colleen, Gene and Kelly, Grace and Ryan, and Mary Frances Kelley; and his stepchildren Jason DeProsperis, and Jamie Lee Valentinetti; He was pre-deceased by his parents, Richard James and Patricia (Brosnan). Rich was born on September 16, 1958 and grew up in Crestwood NY. He attended Annunciation School, Iona Prep and St. Leo's College in Florida. Anyone lucky enough to have spent time with him knew how caring, generous, selfless and loving he was. He touched so many, was loved by so many, especially his soulmate Toniann. He had an infectious smile, was always the life of the party, and was very devoted to his family and friends. He was also a longtime enthusiastic fan of the NY Jets and Yankees. Rich was blessed with many friends from near and far and his stories and adventures are well known and told often with a laugh and a smile. Rich and Toniann lived in Daytona Beach Florida, his happy place. He loved the beach and ocean, and found his peace there. A wake will be held at Westchester Funeral Home 190 Main St. Eastchester NY on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 4-7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Annunciation Church, 475 Westchester Ave. Crestwood, NY on Friday, Oct. 2, at 11 AM. In Lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society or any charity of your choice is greatly appreciated.
