David Goodspeed Obituary

GANSEVOORT- David Goodspeed, 55, of Gordon Lane, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Glens Falls Hospital, following a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 3, 1955 in Ticonderoga, NY he was the son of Leo E. Goodspeed and Sylvia M. (Leddick) Goodspeed. David was a graduate of Minerva Central School. Dave was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward. He was a very dear friend to many and a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Dave enjoyed cooking and was the kitchen manager for Falmouth Inn in Falmouth, MA and most recently of Scotty's restaurant in Wilton, NY. He also enjoyed gardening and interior decorating. He was predeceased by his brother Mark A. Goodspeed; his stepmother, Pauline Burch Goodspeed; and stepbrother, Louis Burch. He leaves behind his loving mother and father, Sylvia M. Goodspeed of Fort Edward and Leo E. Goodspeed of Cambridge; seven brothers and sisters: Bruce and Theresa Goodspeed of Mashpee, MA, Marlene and Thomas Kandora of Queensbury, Teresa and Jeff Sanfilippo of Hudson Falls, Matthew and Jacki Goodspeed of Queensbury, NY, Thomas and Tammy Goodspeed of Hudson Falls, Jennifer and Gary Stenkin of South Glens Falls, and Anthony Goodspeed and his companion Priscilla Crum of Granville; and step-brother, James Burch of Hartford. Dave is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on the family from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the M.B.
