Fort Edward- Kathryn A. Clark, 98, a resident of Fort Hudson Nursing Center, took her well deserved place in heaven on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, following a long illness. Born in Granville on January 24, 1919, she was the daughter of Martin and Ada (Waterous) McHenry. Kathryn was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward. She was loved by everyone who knew her but loved everyone she knew even more. Her husband, Austin M. Clark, died on April 2, 1986. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a son, Ronald; eight sisters, Madeline, Evelyn, Margaret, Florence, Genevieve, Rose, Helen and Ann; and six brothers, David, Kevin, Daniel, Francis, Martin and Jack. Survivors include a sister, Nancy; a son, Kevin and wife Catherine; a daughter-in-law, Karen; four grandchildren, Michael, Christopher and wife Kari, Brian, and Darin; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Christina, Jayce, Andrew; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her niece, Patricia Anderson, for her daily devotion and many thanks to the loving family, friend and Home Helper caregivers who saw to Kathryn’s care and comfort in her times of need. Calling hours are scheduled from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the M. B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, with her nephew, the Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Burgoyne Avenue in Fort Edward. Memorial donations may be made in Kathryn’s name to the St. Joseph’s Church Memorial Fund, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
