Margaret A. Slama, 59, passed away on Tuesday October 13, at her residence on Center Street. She resided there with her companion Louis Salluzzo. Margaret was born on May 1, 1961, in Huntington, Long Island, daughter of Vincent and Helene (McQueeney) Slama. She was employed at the Paradise Hotel in Bennington, VT, in housekeeping. Margaret was a member of the Eagles Club in Hoosick Falls. She loved her cats Merlin and Mitts, and was a very giving person with a big heart. Survivors include her sisters Mary Ellen (Dan) Wright, of North Hoosick, NY Susan Scarantino (James), of Clifton Park, NY twin brothers John Slama, of FL, and Vincent Slama (Christina Santana), of Bethpage, Long Island also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Kathleen Petzack. Funeral services will be Friday October 16th, at 4:00 pm, from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the funeral home. Masks are required social distancing and covid guidelines will be observed.
