Marjorie Spendiff

Eagle Bridge, New York Marjorie L. (Bass) Spendiff 72, passed away on Saturday March 17, at her residence on Brownell Hollow Road. She resided there with her husband of fifty years Robert W. Spendiff, they were married on June 16, 1964. Marjorie was born on August 30, 1942 in Troy, New York, daughter of Nathaniel and Ella (Godfrey) Bass. She was educated at schools in Greenwich, New York. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk working in several offices in the area. Marjorie liked horseback riding and trips to Maine. She was a strong woman dedicated to her family and enjoyed their family dinners. Survivors other than her husband Robert include their children daughters Shelly Spendiff of White Creek, NY, Patti (Jerry) Stevens of Buskirk, NY, sons Timothy and Michael Spendiff both of Cambridge, NY, sister Susan (Larry) Murray of Cambridge, NY, grandchildren Morgan Grimes, Jeremy Stevens, Sage and Shea Abadia, Shane and Chase Spendiff, Brady and Jarred Sausville, also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marjorie is predeceased by a sister Virginia Bass. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rensselaer County Community Hospice through the funeral home. The family would like to thank Dr. Ives and her staff, Dr. Martinez and his staff and the Rensselaer County Community Hospice staff for the care they gave to Marjorie.
