Mary Jane “Mert” Eddy, 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 9th . She resided on Harken Hollow Road with her companion Kirk Von Haggin. She was predeceased by her husband of thirty-eight years, Ronald “Raider” Eddy who died in 2009. Mary Jane was born on March 20, 1953, daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte (Myers) Ellis. Mary Jane attended the one room school house in Groveside then St. Mary's Academy and finished her education at Hoosick Falls Central School. She was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed gardening, antiquing, her dogs, socializing with people and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter Carrie Goldstein of Buskirk, NY, sister Barbara Gifford of Groveside and grandchildren Anthony, Max and Brigitte Goldstein. Funeral services will be Saturday July 13th, at 10:00 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday July 12th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
