Eileen Patricia Fallon Hopewell Junction, New York Obituary

Eileen Patricia Fallon

It is with profound sadness that the family of Eileen Martin Fallon announces her passing on April 20, 2021, following a year-long battle with cancer—a battle she faced with immense courage, extraordinary grace, and most of all, a selflessness beyond measure. Born on April 10, 1974, in Mahopac, NY, Eileen is the cherished youngest daughter of Paul and Diane (O’Neill) Martin. Eileen attended St. John the Evangelist Elementary School and always credited her first grade teacher, Sr. Anne, as the greatest influence in her decision to become an educator. After graduating from Mahopac High School in 1992, Eileen attended Manhattan College, earning a bachelor’s in psychology, and she went on to receive a master’s in education from Fordham University. Having taught first and second grade at Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School in the Croton-Harmon School District for 18 years, Eileen has inspired the minds and hearts of hundreds of children throughout her accomplished career. In October 2007, Eileen married the man who swept her off her feet, Randall (Randy) Fallon. Theirs was a love story that (while sparked by their meddling sisters) brought new meaning to the phrase “it was meant to be.” They began their life together living in Wappingers Falls and later moved to their home in Poughquag, where she and Randy enjoyed glorious sunsets together on a daily basis. The most joyful day of Eileen’s life came in 2011, when her beloved daughter, Caitlin Patricia, was born. Her devotion as a mother outshined every other role she held—wife, daughter, sister, friend, colleague, mentor, teacher—and she never took for granted what a blessing it was to be called Mommy. Eileen was quiet, gentle, and she exuded a beautiful kindness. She had great faith in God. She accepted everyone and made all in her presence feel seen and heard. She enjoyed being with people, hearing and telling funny stories. She was brilliant, witty, and fiercely determined. Her smile was warm and her laughter was infectious. She was a gift to all who knew her. And her true, singular passion was loving her family. In addition to her loving husband Randy, her precious daughter Caitlin, and her parents Paul and Diane, Eileen is survived by her sister Jennifer Loprinzo and husband Charles, her parents-in-law John and Roberta Fallon, and her sister-in-law Danielle Scarlett and husband Gregg. Eileen is adored and will be dearly missed by her goddaughter Julia Loprinzo, nieces Alexis Scarlett and Sarah Loprinzo, nephew Jack Scarlett, and her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends whom Eileen embraced like family. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Arthur and Grace Martin and George and Johanna O’Neill, who welcomed her into their arms as she joined them in eternal rest. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 25, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 26, at 10:00 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY, followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods. Please visit Eileen’s Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
