Marie Koehler
Marie Catherine Koehler, née Ritter, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8th 2020. Marie was born June 28th, 1925 in The Bronx, NY. She was the youngest of four children of Adolph & Mabel Ritter. She married PFC George A. Koehler on July 18th, 1947. Marie gave birth to their only child, Allen G. Koehler in 1952, & moved to Lindenhurst, NY shortly thereafter. She worked until her retirement at Brunswick Hospital Center. George and Marie relocated to Florida in 2002 to be closer to family. Marie spent much of her time, especially after George’s passing in 2006, at the Palm Harbor Senior Center where she enjoyed baking her famous cakes, dancing, and definitely not cheating at bingo. She spent much of her time doing these activities with her long-time companion Milt Bandelow. Marie was preceded in death by her husband George, son Allen, and grandson Timothy. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Jaci, grandchildren Matt & Amy (Jeff), her two great-grandchildren Lukas & Dylan & an abundance of Coyles. Celebration of life to be held on Long Island at a later date.Obituary
