Anna Melnick Tarby

Anna Melnick Tarby, of Schwartz Towers passed away Friday, January 14, at Auburn Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. A life resident of the Auburn area, she was the daughter of the late William and Tillie Boiwka Melnick. She attended Auburn Schools, and was retired from General Electric, Auburn, and volunteered for 15 years at Auburn Memorial Hospital. She was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church, and Auburn Senior Citizens. Surviving are her sons and their wives, Dr. Theodore J. And Andree Tarby of Paradise Valley, AZ, and Richard and Janice Tarby of Raleigh, NC, four special and loved grandchildren, Caia Bixby and Ethan Tarby and Jamie Lynn Cone and Richard Tarby Jr., and three great grandchildren Jamie Bixby, Kelsey and Asher Tarby. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including her very caring and loving niece Gwen (Richard) Plish, and close friends, Frances Yantch and Martha and Vince Shaw. He was predeceased by her husband Theodore (Frank) Tarby in 1985, her brother William M. Melnick and sisters Betty Melnick, Mary Zewan, and Julia Howk. Funeral services are private, burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of ones choice.
