C. Ames

C. Robert Ames, 78, of Marcellus passed away July 18, 2011 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, Bob retired from Sargent, Webster, Crenshaw and Folley Architects and Engineers after 37 years. He graduated from Nottingham High School and Alfred State in 1957. Bob was an Army veteran serving during the Korea Conflict as an MP, and was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Marydee; daughter Pamela (Daryl) McPherson of Liverpool; son Charles "Chuck" (Karen) Ames of Marcellus; sister Cynthia Smith of Newark; grandchildren Carlton, Serena, Ashley, Jasmine and Nicholas McPherson, Jeffrey and Caleigh Ames and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 am Wednesday July 20 at the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veteran's Cemetery. Friends may call on the family from 10-11 am at the Church prior to the service. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Marcellus United Methodist Church. Read C.
