George Cole

George Frederick Cole, 86, of Oswego, formerly of Marietta, died Saturday, October 14, 2017. Mr. Cole was a native of Marietta, the son of the late Oscar and Edith Olmstead Cole. He resided in the area most of his life. He was a former employee of Smith Barley Mill, and Pepsi Cola Syracuse Bottlers. He is survived by his sisters Thelma Chapman of Clermont, FL, and Barbara Shoemaker of Spafford, several cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Shirley Allen and brother Oscar Paul Cole. Graveside services will be conducted at Noon, Saturday, October 21, in Amber Cemetery.
