Helen Rusinko Chalanick, 83, of Auburn, died Monday, June 27, 2011. Mrs. Chalanick was a life resident of Auburn, the daughter of the late Metro and Christine Rusinko. She was a former employee of McQuay, retiring in 1993. She was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Walter Chalanick, her daughter Patricia (Joseph) Simone of Auburn, and her sons Mickey (Karen) of Auburn, Robert (Karen) of Rochester, Edward of Albany, and John (Dawn) of Lakeland, FLA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Jason and Sarah Chalanick, Joseph Jr. and Eric (Karen) Simone, Brett and Kara Chalanick, and Taylor Chalanick, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Anna Yahwak and her brother William Rusinko. Funeral services for Mrs. Chalanick will be at 9 A.M. Friday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 9:30 A.M. In SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
