James A Muraco Obituary

James A. Muraco passed away at home on December 25th, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born in Dipignano, Italy on October 12, 1928 to the late Carmen and Marie Muraco. He was a Coast Guard Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Jim was a Captain with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department, and a Cowboy. He had a Champion Rainer horse named Dino, enjoyed a nice glass of Cianti or a good scotch and water, was a phenomenal cook, loved a good time with family and friends, lived his life to the fullest, and was always up for a good laugh. One thing he lived by is “family comes first.” Jim is survived by his Daughters Babs (Scott North), Debbie, Patty, and son Joe. Grandchildren Tracy (David DeBoover), Travis, Jenny (Joe White), Cori (Ken Austeel), Billy (Trina Clark) Jillian, Cameron, and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Mabel, sister Mary, and brothers John and Frank Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday December 30, at Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St. Marcellus, NY.
