Jean (Kaulback) Kostine, 86, of Syracuse passed away Tuesday October 22, 2019. Born in Syracuse to the late William and Grace Kaulback, she was a unit clerk at Community General Hospital for 37 years. She was a wonderful cook and baker, especially her lemon wedding cakes. She loved to garden, no matter where she lived she always had a beautiful garden. Her true passion in life was to travel to Disney with her family and friends.
Jean leaves behind her children, John Kostine, James (Patty) Kostine, Janet Kostine and Julie (Ronald) Salerno, along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Anne Parker and Karen Penkratz and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John.
Services for Jean will be 1 p.m. Friday October 25 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St. Marcellus. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be buried next to her husband in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
