Johanna Homick Drancsak, 80, of Auburn died Monday April 1, 2013, following an extended illness. Johanna was a native of Peckville, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Churney Homick. She has resided in the Auburn area for more than 65 years. For many years she worked for the Sunset Restaurant, and Fisherman's Pier. She also did child care. For more than 20 years, she was Santa Claus at the Seymour Library. Mrs. Drancsak is survived by her daughters Marina Drancsak, Susan (David Wylie) Drancsak and Melissa (Tom DiSanto) Drancsak, and her son John (Margaret) Drancsak, all of Auburn, her grandchildren John Robert and Molly Drancsak, her brother John Homick of Virginia, and her dear friend Margaret (Peg) Namisnak. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1974, her good friend Rose Gurak, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Mrs. Drancsak will be at 9 A.M. Friday, from the Plis Funeral Home, and 9:30 A.M. in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 P.M.
