Julia D. Rice, 77, passed away Wednesday December 16, 2015 at Auburn Community Hospital. Julia resided with her niece Barbara Bryant and her family in Skaneateles. Born in Syracuse to the late Earl and Clara Rice, she worked for P&C as a data processor. She loved to read and watch her crime shows on TV, but her true passion was animals especially her dog Sophia and her cat Sam. Julia is survived by her brother Eugene (Kay) Rice of Punta Gorda, FL., and several nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Claude and James Rice. Services for Julia will be 10 a.m. Saturday August 13 at Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. Memorial donations in memory of Julia may be made to your local SPCA.
