Mary Kenyon

She married her husband a few years later and they relocated to Marcellus in 1959. Betty was a RN for 34 years and loved caring for patients. She went back to work at Van Dyne Nursing Home several years later where she stayed until she retired in 1985. Betty was a deacon and long time member of the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church. Betty was a devoted wife and mother and had a passion for life and for helping others. She was loved by all those that knew her. She cherished spending time with family and friends and after retiring, enjoyed traveling with her husband, relaxing at their camp in the Adirondacks, and spending the winter months in Florida. Betty loved sewing and crafts and was a member of the Marcellus Grange 'Ugly Quilters' who make quilts for those in need. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert B. Kenyon in 2005. Surviving are a son, Philip (Linda) Kenyon of Syracuse; 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Jean (Bob) Munson, Joan (Reg) LaCroix, Donna (Don) Lesack, Bob (Paula) Bacon of Ontario, CA and Dennis (Lorna) Bacon of British Columbia, CA; 13 nieces and nephews, many loving friends and neighbors and her grand-dog Rufus. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Hospice of CNY, the staff at Hematology Oncology Assoc. of CNY, friends and neighbors for making Betty feel loved and well cared for during her illness. If desired, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's name may be made to Hospice of CNY, Marcellus First Presbyterian Church, or Syracuse Habitat for Humanity.
