Paul R. Campbell Obituary

Paul R. Campbell, 78, of Otisco passed away peacefully at his home on January 20 with loved ones by his side. He is survived by his loving partner of 19 years, Kathy McKenney, his daughter Jennifer (Clarke), his son Timothy, brothers Arden and David. He enjoyed spending time with his 10 grandchildren whom he loved dearly along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Marlene (Teeter) of 31 years, brother Ray, sisters Mary Jean Maloney and Joan Root. Paul was born and raised in Howlett Hill and is a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. His career began as a well-driller working for his father’s business and took over the business after his passing. He then worked as a computer programmer for Agway and then as a systems analyst for Burnett Process. He retired as a purchasing agent with the same company. Paul spent his lifetime fishing, hunting, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. Several years after his retirement, his goal was to travel the country in his motorhome with Kathy and they were lucky enough to do that several times. He had a heart of gold and easily made friends with anyone who crossed his path. He was a master at teaching life lessons and gave great advice to anyone who needed it. He was loved by so many and would help anyone that was in need. Services for Paul will be 11 a.m. Saturday January 25 in the Marcellus United Methodist Church, 1 Slocombe Ave. Marcellus. Spring burial will be in Howlett Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on the family from 3-7 p.m. Friday January 24 at the Plis Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Hospice of Central New York & of the Finger Lakes http://www.hospicecny.org/memorial-donation
