Susan Holak

Susan Holak, 96, formerly of Perrine Ave., Auburn, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on September 15, 1918 in Todmorden, England. She emigrated to America in 1952, and has resided in Auburn since that time. She was a communicant of SS Peter & Paul Church, and a former member of the church Altar Rosary Society. Susan is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Ryan of Vero Beach, FL, and Donna (Ned) Wrobel of Auburn, five grandchildren Mark Ryan (Kathy) of Mt. Shasta, CA, Vicki Ryan of Rochester, Peggy Ryan (Steve), Diane Ryan Banks and Kent Wrobel of Auburn. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Terence and Melissa Allen (Brian) of Auburn, Kevin O'Hora (Carrie) of Penfield and Claire Ryan and Max Clavelli of Mt. Shasta, CA, three great-great grandchildren, Lucas Allen, Kaden and Brady O'Hora, a special niece Lynda in England, who called her every day, her special godchild Anne Kott and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas "Murphy" Holak in 2004, her great granddaughter Kristin M. Banks, and brothers and sisters in England. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 26, from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the Plis Funeral Home, 220 State St., Auburn. Funeral services will follow at 10 A.M. and 10:30 in SS Peter & Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
