Virginia Casey

Virginia Paris Casey of Auburn, New York, passed away at the age of 92 on November 14th due to complications from hip surgery. She had been residing in Atlanta, Georgia with her daughter, Cindy Casey Conners. Virginia ( Ginny ) Casey was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 24, 1923. She graduated from Lees-McCrae College in the area of medical secretarial Administration. She was employed by Auburn Memorial Hospital for 27 years as Secretary of the School of Nursing, and then as Secretary to the Administration. Virginia enjoyed league bowling, golf, playing the piano, bridge, and Senior Line Dancing for nursing homes in the Auburn area. She was an active member of the Auburn United Methodist Church and served as Secretary of the Sunday School. She is survived by her three children: Tina Taylor of Plainfield, NJ; Michael Casey of Dunedin, FL; and Cindy Conners of Atlanta GA; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Virginia was pre deceased by her husband, Bernard Casey, retired from H & L Ford, and her granddaughter Casey McKenzie Greer. Services will be held this summer in Auburn, when her family will reunite to celebrate her life and remember the many gifts she has bestowed to them.
