MASSENA – Mary Sue Feltz, 81, a longtime resident of Alden Street, passed away early Saturday morning, January 19, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Home in Ogdensburg, where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Sue was born December 12, 1937 in Watertown, the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret Ina (Case) Marskell. She attended Catholic schools in Watertown and graduated from Immaculate Heart High School and later achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Nazareth College. On September 9, 1961, she married Gerald J. Feltz at Holy Family Church in Watertown with Father Nelson Shulette, officiating. Jerry predeceased her on April 9, 2003.

Sue was a social worker for Catholic Charities under the direction of Msgr. Robert Lawler for many years. She also was a child care giver in her home for many years after leaving Catholic Charities. A devout Catholic, she was an active communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Sue was an avid reader, a dedicated Yankees Baseball fan, and also had a great love for animals.

Sue is survived by her children, John and Cathy Heilman Feltz of Watertown; Milo and Theresa Roque of Milpitas, California; Julie and Andrew Silver of Canton; her grandchildren, Sophia and Caroline Silver; and a goddaughter who lived with her, Sarah Huto.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena on Wednesday 3-6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Jack L. Downs, celebrating. Burial will be in the spring in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.
