MASSENA – Mr. Robert G. “Bob” Brody, 68, of 11 Poplar Street, peacefully passed away early Tuesday morning, September 26, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.

Bob was born January 8, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Benjamin and Martha Elizabeth “Rose” (Sattoff) Brody. He graduated from high school in Wilkes-Barre and later attended Wilkes College and the University of Hartford. Bob first married Judith Golias, they were blessed with two sons, Robert and Daniel. Their marriage later ended in divorce. On October 20, 1979, he married Cathy L. Daniels in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Bob was the controller for Danko Construction for 18 years, retiring in 2009. He was also a self-employed furniture builder. Robert was also a gifted artist with great passion for his work. He had a deep Christian Faith in the Lord and enjoyed studying the Bible. Bob also had a great love for the water and cherished the time he was able to spend on his boat either fishing or just enjoying the views.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Maria Brody of Wilkes-Barre; two grandchildren, Zachary and Miranda; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Anthony Cherkauskas, also of Wilkes-Barre; and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Robert B. Brody on October 19, 2016; and a brother Thomas Brody.
