NORFOLK – Mr. William J. White, Sr.,71, of Morris Street, unexpectedly Wednesday evening at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg.

Bill was born May 9, 1946 in Massena, the son of the late Louis and Margarite Cirtwill White and was a graduate of Massena High School. He later graduated from DeVry Institute in Chicago. On April 6, 1970, he married Linda M. Crawford in Rochester, she predeceased him on February 9, 2009.

Bill was a die-hard Beatles fan and had a fascination for GTO’s. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren, especially his beloved great granddaughter.

Bill is survived by his children, Margarite White of Norfolk; and William Jr. and Brandy White of Schenectady; his grandchildren, Danny Jr., Jessica, Billy, Hanna, and Miranda; and his great granddaughter, Isabella. He is also survived by his sisters, Roseanne Smith of Louisville; Elaine and Francis Poquette of North Lawrence; Linda and Marty Springer of Ashby, MA; and Lee and Howard Durgan of Fort Jackson; his brothers, Steven White of Brasher Falls; Richard and Elaine White of Massena; Kenneth White of Massena; and Louis White of Ogdensburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sally Martin and a brother, James White.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, Tuesday 1-2:30. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Pine Grove Cemetery, Area 2.
