Anthony Chiaravalloti Obituary

Anthony J. Chiaravalloti, 89, of Minoa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday. Born in Satriano, Italy, he was the son of the late Frank and Barbara Chiaravalloti. Anthony proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a co-owner with his late brother-in-law, Danny Callisto, of a family restaurant, as well as an owner and respected landlord of many properties. He took great joy in trading stocks, gardening, cooking and daily visits to Serres Donut Shop, where he met with friends for many years. Anthony loved music and played the tenor saxophone, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with family and making sure all of his grandchildren were doing well. Anthony was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Lucy Callisto Chiaravalloti, as well as his three sisters, Stella Procopio, Concetta Barbuto and Rose Procopio. Surviving are his three daughters, Barbara (James) Finlon, Marianne (Thomas) Douglas and Josephine (Charles) Mullane; son, Frank (Stephanie) Chiaravalloti; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
