Kenneth K. Brown Obituary

Kenneth K. Brown, lovingly known as Kenny or K.B. to family and friends, was born in Mount Sinai Hospital on May 23rd, 1985 to Ramona (Mona) Brown and Kenneth (Squally) Rose. K.B. was educated in the New York City School System. He worked various jobs, however, construction being his most recent; which he loved showing up for. As a young fella K.B. was an avid basketball player. He was captain of his J.H.S. team and played for the Beacon Center on East 120th Street. Also, he was an awesome bowler on teams at Ball Park Lanes in the Bronx. He received many trophies for both sports during his time playing. K.B. loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking and making people laugh and smile. He had the kindest heart, lived life to the fullest and had the most joyful spirit. His illuminating smile could be seen a mile away. The community is devastated by his sudden misfortune. One kid said: "Ms. Mona, K.B. always came to my grandma's house asking if she needed help with anything. He would eat with us on the holidays and he also gave me my nickname Just-Blaze. I will miss him." He departed this life on July 8th, 2020. K.B. was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth (Squally) Rose; both grandmothers, Gerri Brown and Mikey Rose; great grandmother, Ella (Nana), and his uncles, Horace (Kevin) Brown and Paul Rose. He is survived by: his mother, Ramona (Mona) Brown; brothers, Allen, Pedie, Supreme and Kareen; first cousin, Keith Brown; sisters, Shandreka, Shana and Shatoka; son, Dereon Williams; godmother, Thomasina Denton; goddaughters, Beyonce (Yonce) and Navaeh; godbrother, Tyler Denton; godsister, Tiffany Denton; aunts, Crystal and Tuesday; uncles, Mike, Lou and Reg; his loving partner, Justine and her sons, Kawan and Darrin; nine nieces, nine nephews, and host of family including his extended family and friends from Wagner and beyond, who will miss him dearly.
