<p>Ricarda Bonilla, age 94, passed away peacefully November 6th, 2019. She was born April 3rd, 1925 in Puerto Rico born to Maria Ramos.</p><p><br></p><p>Ricarda loved her family, fashion, and New York City championing all three throughout her rich life. She moved to New York City as a young adult and overcame obstacles in order to reach her goals. Ricarda had a lively career in the fashion industry, working from an entry level seamstress to an expert pattern designer, which encompassed both her strict work ethic and her love of style and clothing. Her daughter has stated many times, </p><p><br></p><p>“My mom was the strongest woman I’ve ever met. She wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce woman who would do anything in support of her family.”</p><p>Ricarda is survived by her daughter, Carmen Pinheiro; grandchildren, Jacqueline Rohan and Julie Harmon; great grandchildren, Alina Saliaz, Alexandrea Hennessy, and Gavin Harmon; her sister, Emercita Bonilla; plus her many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.</p><p><br></p>
