Franz Xavier Piehler passed away peacefully on July 19, 2019. He was born on November 5, 1926 in Germany to Michael and Marie Piehler. He moved to Lake Peekskill in 1950.He married the love of his life on September 24, 1955 until she passed in 2010. Franz enjoyed gardening, solving puzzles, and painting. He was a handy man who could fix anything. He took his natural skills, and built a career in plumbing and heating, developing his own company, Franz Piehler Plumbing and Heating. He had an amazing heart, always caring for and putting everyone else first. A man of his word, some would even say Franz was honest to a fault. He is survived by his brother Joseph, his three sisters Barbara, Kathy, and Anne, his children Irene, Frank (Peggy), Margaret (Mike), and Katrina, his grandchildren Curtis, Marlena, Kayla, Chelsey (Brandon), Karlie (Steve), Michael (Christina), Sean (Julia), and Thomas, and his great-grandchildren Isabella, Haylie, Max, Zoe, Owen and Jack.
