Noreen R. Johnson
<p>SISSONVILLE – Mrs. Noreen R. Johnson, 80, of 58 Sisson Road, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 1, 2017 at Riverledge Health Care and Rehab Center in Ogdensburg. </p><p><br></p><p>Noreen was born July 29, 1937 in Potsdam, the daughter of Harold B. and Leona Bovay Ellis. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Lloyd Kennedy. Noreen was a homemaker and foster mother for many years caring for over 35 children. She later was the Dog Warden for the Town of Potsdam. </p><p><br></p><p>She had a great love for all animals, volunteering at the Potsdam Animal Shelter for several years. She loved having her grandchildren around her and enjoyed sewing. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald H.; her children, Randy Johnson of Potsdam; Penny and Robert Rowe of Ravena, NY; and Troy and Renae Johnson of Potsdam; her grandchildren, Melani and Joe Richards, James Merrill, and Donald Johnson; and two great grandchildren, Erik and Camden. She is also survived by her sister, Janette and Robert Clarke of Texas; her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Kelly Johnson of Madrid; and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Carla Strader and a brother, Weston Ellis.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. </p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Potsdam Animal Shelter.</p><p><br></p>Obituary
