Sandy, 73, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, NYC after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on June 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Joyce Bard Kozlowski, Sr. She was a lifetime residence of Dutchess and Ulster counties. She graduated from Poughkeepsie High School where she was selected by Central Hudson for the Cooperative Student Program. She started her career with Central Hudson at age 17 and retired after 42 years as an Electrician. Sandy held memberships with IBEW Local 320 Electrician union as well as Pacers Drum Corps.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Samantha Joy Acevedo, fiancé Bruce McGowan and grand-dog Keva of Sherburne, NY, daughter Stacy Lynn Lasko, husband Christian Lasko and grandson Christian Lasko Jr. ‘CJ’ of Clinton Corners, NY. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Sandy was predeceased by sister Gail P. Johnson (2014), brother Stanley Kozlowski Jr (2019), brother David Kozlowski Sr. (2019), and brother Daniel ‘DinDin’ Kozlowski (2019).

Sandy enjoyed her frequent trips to the casinos and beaches as well as playing bingo. While home, Sandy loved painting, arts and crafts, bird watching, feeding all the wildlife and soaking up the sun.

Sandy loved her family passionately, spoiling them at holidays and birthdays. She could always be counted on to prepare delicious meals for all occasions. Sandy was always selfless, looking to help others during their time of need.
