Howard C. Puls

Howard C. Puls, Jr. Town of Lee, New York Howard C. Puls, Jr., age 79 of the Town of Lee and formerly of Marilla, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017 at Rome Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Howard was born in Buffalo on December 23, 1937 to the late Howard Sr. and Shirley Choate Puls. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a past Fire Chief for Wales Center Volunteer Fire Department as well as a lifelong member. Howard is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl Anzalone and her husband, Frank, and Barbara Puls and her companion, Don Donahue; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren with a great grandson on the way; two sisters, Carol Ells, and Marilee Herter and her husband, Bob; and nieces and nephews, Vicki Hanson and her husband, Al, Anita Ells-Bus and her husband, Peter, and Tim Ells and his wife, Ruth. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jody Lynn Puls, and a brother in law, David Ells. A special Thank You to Rome Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, Rome Hospital 2 North and Albany Medical Center ICU for the exceptional care that was given. Burial and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
