Obituary: Earl L.(Bud) Murling, 83, of Main Street, Boonville passed away, Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville after a long illness. He was born October 4, 1926 in Granville, New York the son of John and Hazel Cole Murling. Bud was educated in VVS High School. On May 14, 1949, he married Faith E. Kennedy in Clayton.
He was employed by Wayne Paving for twenty-five years retiring in 1988.
Bud proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Ava Hilltop United Methodist Church, a life-member of the Lee American Legion and an honorary life member of the West Leyden Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Faith, one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Frederick Taylor, with whom he resided; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Patricia Murling, West Leyden; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dottie and Jim Eiffe, FL.; Judy Wafful, CT.; two brothers, Robert Murling, Lee Center, Ben Murling, Rome; six grand-children, David Murling, Nicole Podkowka, Travis Secor, Jennifer Yaddow, Shelbi and Christopher Taylor and six great-grandchildren, Cody, Kennedy, Alicia, Brianna, Aidian and Leigha. He was predeceased by a son, Timothy and two brothers, John and Richard.
Services: Memorial services will be held 7:00P.M. Monday at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome with Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating.
