I served with General Cerjan in Cold War Germany in the early 60's. My service with him was on the 4th Armored Division football team, of which he was head coach. He was, without a doubt, the smartest and best officer I ever met in my 3 years of service in the Army. He was the kindest, smartest, and bravest persons I ever knew. My prayers go out to his family and lovely wife Pat.

My sincere sympathy for Paul's family. I played football in Germany for Paul and did enjoy working for him. I am most disappointed that I found his name at this unfortunate time. I live in southwest Florida and certainy would have enjoyed seeing him. My best wished for his family.

I served with General Cerjan while with KBR in Iraq. He provided outstanding leadership and keen insight towards supporting the soldiers and civilians in Iraq. It was a pleasure to know him and to work with him. He was an inspiring and extraordinary person. My deepest sympathy to family and his loved ones.

To the Cerjan Family -
Please accept my condolences. My family were neighbors of yours in Rome. I remember playing with Steve and Paul throwing me a football that I missed. I was awed by him as a young boy. I shall always remember shaking hands with him at the Army/Navy game in 1956 which my father and I attended with tickets from Paul. Imagine seeing Pete Dawkins also!!
I remember his father George and Betty also. Good people for sure as well as Steve.
