Obituary: Margaret M. Mull, 89, of Rome, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born on July 27, 1923, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Paul and Mabel Sebastian Catello.
On August 15, 1942, Margaret was united in marriage to Nester Mull. Mr. Mull passed away on September 7, 1994
Margaret was employed by Rome Developmental Center for many years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Margaret was an avid bowler and loved playing bingo and cards. She especially loved her family and enjoyed all family gatherings.
Surviving are three daughters and four sons-in-law, Louise and Lee Brown, of Rome, Lucille and Christopher Steed, Indianapolis, IN, Audrey and Louis Gisondi, of Rome, Hank Miglianti, of Sylvan Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Norma Mull, of Sour Lake, TX; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Gene DePasquale, Crystal and Theodore Dombrowski, all of Rome; Felicia Montross, of North Bay; a brother, Donald Catello, of Oriskany; two sisters-in-law, Anna Rose Catello, of Clinton, and Linda Catello, of Rome; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by two daughters, Patricia Fletcher and Kathleen Miglianti; two sons, Paul Mull and Leonard Mull; a sister, Palmera Riolo; two brothers, Ernest Catello and Paul Catello, Jr.; two grandchildren, Robin Fletcher, and Anthony Gisondi; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Damion Fletcher.
Margaret’s family wishes to express their gratitude to her granddaughter, Tracy Scott, for being there for her everyday and the 3rd floor staff at Rome Memorial Hospital for the kindness and compassion shown to her.
Services: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, at 10:15 AM and a Mass of the Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 AM where the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio will officiate. Interment will take place in Lee Valley Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
