Obituary: Norman A. Fedder, 82, of Rome, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010, at his home. He was born March 8, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Fedder received his Bachelor’s Degree, Summa Cum Laude from Trenton State and his Master’s of Arts Degree from Rowan University. On May 9, 1964, he married Elinor Whitmeyer. She died in 1995.
Norman retired from the United State Army and later was a Librarian atTrenton University.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Henry P. Smith Post of the American Legion and a faithful volunteer at the Rome Humane Society.
Uncle Norm was a kind and generous man who loved the Lord and his family.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Margery W. Clemens, Rome; a brother-in-law, James F. Whitmeyer, Lakewood, NY; eleven nieces and nephews, including nieces and nephews, Dawn and Dan Tartaglia, Barbara and Gary Clemens, Deborah McAloon, Clay Clemens, all of Rome; and twenty-three great nieces and nephews.
Services: Funeral services will be held Monday 7:00P.M. at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5:00 P.M. to 7:00P.M. Monday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Rome Humane Society or the First United Methodist Church.
