Phyllis A. Bergeron, 90, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, NY. She was born October 9, 1927 in Northampton, MA, the daughter of Anthony and Boleslawa Ida Czyzewski Romanowski and was a graduate of Northampton High School where she was a talented classical singer known as “the voice”. On May 29, 1948, Phyllis married Lawrence J. Bergeron who predeceased her on November 6, 1998. Phyllis was a radiological, nuclear and ultrasound technician at New Port Richey Community Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed music, sewing, painting, knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. She was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are her children, James L. and Donna Bergeron of St. Petersburg, FL; John P. Bergeron of Pinellas Park, FL; Patricia and Barry Kesneck of Largo, FL; daughter-in-law, Karen Bergeron of Port Richey, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Jeanette Romanowski of Sherburne, NY; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Lawrence A. Bergeron, a sister, Anastasia “Nancy” Guy; a niece and a nephew. In keeping with her wishes, there are no services or calling hours. Contributions in her memory may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY.
