Irene M. (Mann) Uva June 23, 2019 Irene M. Uva,101, of Syracuse passed away on Sunday. She worked many years at Wilson’s Jewelers, was a secretary at McCarthy Manor and Mutual Benefit Life. Irene enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, bowling, playing cards, playing bingo, and her visits to Vernon Downs and The Turning Stone. She was predeceased by her Parents, William and Meta Johnson Mann, and by all her siblings: Louise Timpano, Freda Hafner, Walter Mann, Evelyn Howard, Dorothy Cavallo, William Mann, Oscar Mann and Martin Mann. Irene is survived by her sons, William (Judy) of Florida and Michael (Mary Ann) of Syracuse; her six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 1604 Grant Blvd. followed by a service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
