Obituary for Peggy Kelly

Peggy Flanigan Kelly, 97 of Lillian Lane, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Martin J. Flanigan and Elizabeth Hunt Flanigan and wife of the late Frank J. Kelly who died in 1995.

Raised and educated in Troy, Peggy graduated Valedictorian of her class at Catholic Central High School and was a graduate of Albany Teachers College. She was a systems analyst for the New York State Teacher's Retirement System in Albany for 30 years. Peggy was a woman of keen intellect, gentle grace and sterling character. Peggy was a woman of faith and service and will be remembered as a gracious, thoughtful woman who treasured her family, her friends and her religious community. She was a former communicant of St. Henry's Church and St. Francis de Sales Church.
Survivors include her son David M. Kelly (Jay) of San Francisco, CA,
two daughters Libby McCarthy (Denis) of Troy,
Suzanne E. Wytrwal (Bill) of Latham, five grandchildren Tracy L. Madsen (Robert) of Poestenkill, Travis M. Kelly (Wendy) Jared M. Kelly (Melody) all of Towson, Maryland, Brenden J. McCarthy and Bridget E. McCarthy both of Troy, six great grandchildren
R.J. Madsen, James Madsen, Reilly Kelly, Sabrina Kelly, Kendall Kelly, Wyatt Kelly,
two sisters Dorothy Raftis of Hyde Park and Lillian Slavin of Troy, two daughters in law Monica West Kelly and Vivian Toussaint Kelly and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by two sons Martin F. Kelly and James M. Kelly.

The family wishes to thank Tara Terry, Sue Terry, Susan Andujar, Laverne Sankey, Diane Sankey, Tracy Robinson, Tawanna Scott, Jessica Pugh for all their care and support. Special thank you to Dr. David Hornick and Craig Ritchie, RN.

Funeral services will be Wednesday 8:45 a.m. from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109 Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, North Lake Avenue, Troy.
Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
