William E. “Bill” Barnes, formerly of Kingston and Port Ewen, died June 12, 2020 in Charlotte Hall, MD. He was born September 21, 1932 in Kingston to the late Frank and Anna Barnes. He graduated from St. John's Military Academy in Delafield, WI. class of 1951, and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the former Town of Esopus Building Inspector. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Maryland, sons Brian (Edwina) of Port Ewen, Carl (Anne) of Texas, and Leeanne (Ken) Glueck, grandchildren Todd (Kim) of Michigan, Shana (Brandon) of Massachusetts, and Brian and Jamie of Maryland, along with 3 great-grandchildren. His brothers and sisters, Anna Finch, Margaret Clearwater, Emma Sheridan, Frank Barnes, Jr., and Ruel Barnes all died previously.
