Dolores Barrego Codella, 90, of Purchase, NY passed away on July 10, 2020. She was born in White Plains, NY on January 25, 1930 to Mary (nee Galasso) and Sebastian Barrego. She married Canio (Ken) Codella at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison, NY in 1962.

Family was first to Dolores. She took great pride in entertaining family and loved ones for the holidays. She was very proud of her grandchildren and savored every moment spent with them. Dolores enjoyed travelling with her husband, gardening, and her daily walks. She was gifted in needlecrafts such as knitting and needlepoint. Her needlepoints were works of art. The family would like to thank relatives, friends, and caregivers for their never-ending support throughout Dolores’s illness.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Canio, and their daughters, Christine (Robert Fraioli) Mignone of Norwalk, CT and Judy (Joe) Kelly of Purchase, NY, grandchildren Paul M., Danielle, and Elena Mignone and Brian and Taylor Kelly, two sisters-in-law, Jen Tompkins of Valhalla, NY and Lucy Codella of White Plains, NY, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Anthony and Salvatore Barrego, and her sisters, Antoinette Antonitis and Victoria Sarli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church in West Harrison, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515. www.macular.org
