Joseph Kelly Caldwell, Sr., 75, of Black Mountain, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. Joseph was born March 7, 1942 in Buncombe County to the late St. Elmo and Tennie Caldwell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Caldwell; brothers, Caroll Caldwell, Charles Caldwell, and Albert Eugene Caldwell; and sister, Linda Hart. Joseph is survived by his children, Jonathan Caldwell, Joseph Caldwell Jr., and Sharon Caldwell Syfrett; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Burial was held at Mountain View Memorial Park.
