Kenneth M. Sapp of Swannanoa went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 4, 2017 surrounded by his family. He retired from Beacon Mfg. Co. and was also a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Carrie Sapp; brothers, Don and Cooper Sapp; sister, Francis Blackwelder; and grandson, Alex White. He is survived by his wife, Gail Sapp; children, Anthony “Tony” Sapp (Kathi), Susan White, and Mitch Sapp all of Swannanoa; sister, Sarah Misenheimer (Joe); grandchildren, Christen Davidson (Ben), John Luke, and James Michael Sapp; and great grandchildren, Porter and Reid Davidson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 1:00pm at Swannanoa First Baptist Church where he was a member for over 40 years. Dr. Jeff Dowdy and Rev. Dan Snyder will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:30am to 1:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
