Ann Stoner Obituary

Ann Stoner is, no doubt, enjoying the face-to-face meeting with her Savior as you read this! God mercifully received her Home Monday, June 2, around 3:30 p.m. She went to glory peacefully in the company of her beloved husband, Bob. They were married for 61 years and had known each other years before that. Being high school sweethearts they are still sweethearts now, though in different Countries. The ravages of Alzheimer’s had taken much of her delightful, outward personality, but every once in a while, the Lord allowed Bob, their children, Bob Jr. & Patti, Rick & Ellen, Sandy & Mike, and her grandchildren to see those little bursts of the beloved wife, mom, and grandma they knew. Now, she is loving and worshipping the Lord, unclouded and unhindered. For those who know the nature of this disease, you know that the family has been slowly saying goodbye all along the way and, though missing her greatly now, are thankful for the mercies of God and His gracious timing! The family is also especially grateful to Kingsbridge House for the love and care given to Ann over the past 4 years. Although originally from Lancaster, PA, Ann and Bob were on the staff at Bob Jones University for 15 years before moving to Transylvania County in 1980 to work at The Wilds Christian Camp. In addition to her husband and children, Ann was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was loved and respected by many for her generosity, love and care for others, especially for her husband Bob, and love for the Lord. A service remembering Ann’s life and love for the Lord will be held Tuesday June 10 at 2:30pm at Bethany Baptist Church, 135 Bert Lane Road, Brevard, NC. Visitation with the family will be before the service, starting at 1:00pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Wilds Christian Camp www.wilds.org. Interment will be at The Wilds Cemetery on Old Toxaway Road, Brevard NC. Online condolences may be left at www.moodyconnollyfuneralhome.com Moody-Connolly Funeral Home is caring for the family.
