Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Brevard, NC 28712 (828) 884-2220 Blanche Ellen Huggins, 86, of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Burgin and Mamie McCrary Ray. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Van Elliott Huggins, Jr., her son James Arnold Huggins; sister Ruth Ray and brothers Edward Ray and Lawrence “Buddy” Ray. Survivors include her daughters Martha Huggins of Andrews, NC, and Ann Huggins Buchanan and husband Gary of Cedar Mountain; sister Beatrice Wellington and husband Harold, brothers Foster Ray and wife Mattie and Dr. Charles Ray; grandson Brentley Shuler and wife Angie; great-grandchildren Charleigh Radford, Miranda Shuler, Dillan Phillips, Logan Shuler and Bradan Shuler, and two great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at a later date.
