Charles Edwin Wilmot

Charles Edwin Wilmot, Jr., known to all as “Eddie” or “Pap”, was born to Charles Senior and Martha Wilmot on August 10, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He passed peacefully on May 17, 2020 at age 91 at The Oaks of Brevard. Eddie was a veteran of the US Air Force, which is how he found the mountains of WNC. He retired from Ecusta after 38 years as a Supervisor of the Power & Water Department. He loved to hunt, fish and bowl. More than anything he loved his family and spending time together. He is preceded in death by his parent’s Charles Senior and Martha Wilmot, one sister Jeanne Miles, and son-in-law Paul Johnson. Survived by his wife of 68 years Molly McCall Wilmot; two daughters, Marcia Jones (Michael) and Deborah Johnson; one son Keith (Missie); six grandchildren, Lesley Ledford, Alex Gray, Lindsay Wilson, Taylor Young, Michael Wilmot, Tiffany Horne; six great-grandchildren, Parker Wilson, Whit Wilson, Trace Wilmot-Young, Darby Ledford, Molly Young, Charles Young. At his request, no formal services are planned. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St Jude Children's Hospital or your favorite local charity. The family would like to extend a very special “Thank You” to all the wonderful staff in the Memory Care Unit at The Oaks of Brevard who took such good care of him during his stay.
