Deller Harris

Deller Ilene Harris age 77 of Rosman died Thursday October21, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 7,1933 in Jackson County to the late Ness Reece and Leva Alex Reece. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Her husband Burder L. Harris, one son Michael, one daughter Sally, four sisters: Isabelle, Ellen, Flonnie and Florance and two grandchildren Kristy and Thomas. Mrs. Harris was retired from the U.S. Forest Service and one of the oldest members of Charlie’s Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons: Finley, Uerry and Billy of Rosman,David of Pickens SC and Randall of Sunset SC, one daughter; Darlene Harris of Cherokee, one sister Mattie Hoxit of Rosman, eight grandchildren; Gene, Sherry,Lee and Jill Harris, Robbin Dodson, Joy Kelly, Toni and Scott Covington and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday October 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Charlie’s Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Chester Chapel, Rev. Truitt Owens and Rev.Roger Todd, Interment followed at Harris Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday evening from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Bill Garber, Dale Dodson, Bubbie, Jason and Tim Hoxit and Conard Bates.
